The hostesses think over the New Year's menu in advance, trying to surprise with their culinary talents. Complex hot dishes and cakes are undoubtedly the basis of the feast, but the festive table is not complete without light snacks. Several types of interesting and tasty snacks will add variety and decorate your New Year's feast.
Red fish sandwiches
These sandwiches are a classic of the Russian feast and a win-win option for any celebration. To prepare them you will need:
- loaf (baguette is good);
- red fish (chum salmon, trout, salmon);
- soft curd cheese.
The loaf should be cut into medium slices, spread with cheese and slices of red fish on top. If desired, you can decorate with herbs or red caviar.
Cod liver pate sandwiches
You will need:
- loaf (baguette is good);
- canned cod liver - 1 can;
- 2 boiled chicken eggs;
- small blue onion (shallots) - 1 piece;
- 2 pickles;
- mayonnaise.
Grind cod liver, boiled eggs, cucumbers and onions in a blender until smooth, add a tablespoon of mayonnaise. Spread the loaf slices with the resulting pate and serve; on top you can decorate with chopped green onions or dill.
Cream cheese rolls
You will need:
- processed cheese in slices;
- ham or carbonate;
- Korean carrots.
Cut the carbonate (ham) into small slices. Put the carbonate on a sheet of cheese, add a little Korean carrots and gently roll up.
