Sauerkraut is nicknamed by nutritionists as a cocktail of health and vitality - for a rather unique combination of zinc, magnesium, iron, potassium and other vitamins. Cabbage strengthens our immune system with its biologically active substances. We will make a cabbage pie, healthy and tasty.
It is necessary
- For the filling: flour - 2 tablespoons; hard-boiled egg - 4 pcs; onions - 2 onions; sauerkraut - 550 g; vegetable oil - for frying; egg for greasing - 1 piece; fresh cabbage - 1 kg.
- For the dough: egg - 1 piece; water - 130 ml; dry yeast - 5 g; salt - 1 pinch; wheat flour - 220 g; sugar - tsp; butter - 20 g.
Instructions
Step 1
To make a cabbage pie, peel the top leaves of the cabbage, remove the stump, and chop. Sprinkle with salt and let stand 15 minutes. Next, squeeze it vigorously to release the juice.
Step 2
Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil, sauté the onions for 3 minutes, add the cabbage and cook for another 5 minutes. Next, remove the pan from heat and cool.
Step 3
In another skillet, fry the chopped and squeezed sauerkraut with some vegetable oil. It will take about 3 minutes. Chop eggs finely, mix both types of cabbage. Add flour and eggs to them, stir.
Step 4
Time to make the cabbage pie dough. Sift flour into a bowl, form a slide and add chunks of butter, egg, sugar and salt.
Step 5
Put yeast in the center of the slide, cover with water. Knead the dough and transfer it to the table, knead for 2 minutes. Collect into a ball and knead for another 2 minutes. Perform this operation 5 times. The dough should stop sticking to the non-floured work surface.
Step 6
We continue to cook the cabbage pie. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and leave warm for 20 minutes. Next, sprinkle the table with flour and knead the dough with your hands. Divide it into 2 parts. Roll each into a rectangular thin layer.
Step 7
Preheat oven to 180oC, grease a baking sheet with oil and place one layer of dough on top of it. Place the filling on top, cover with a second layer and pinch the edges. Make a few holes on top, brush the cabbage pie with a beaten egg with a fork. Place in oven and bake for 40 minutes.
Step 8
Then the cabbage pie is ready. You can serve it chilled as an independent dish along with milk, jelly or tea. Many will be happy with such a healthy and tasty dish.
