An appetizer with crab sticks and cheese is something that can be prepared for the arrival of guests or for any family table. It is prepared very quickly and easily, and the taste will surprise and delight even refined gourmets.
Crab sticks are something that many people love and eat quite often. They are a finished product, not a semi-finished product, as many think. From them, you can immediately, without any processing, prepare different dishes.
For those who do not know, it will be interesting that the prototype of the sticks were surimi, which originated in Japan. But they are different in that they do not have a specific aroma and color. In our country, they appeared relatively recently (the eighties of the last century) and immediately became in demand and loved by many housewives, as they are convenient to prepare, and most importantly, they are tasty in dishes.
The most popular of this product are salads. In addition, other unusual and original dishes are prepared with them: cutlets, potato pancakes, rolls, rolls, sticks in batter, soups. They can be fried, for example, in dough or baked in the oven. They go well with rice and fish (pink salmon, tuna, sprats). Working with this ingredient, you can give free rein to imagination and come up with your own original recipes.
To prepare a snack with crab sticks, you need a minimum of ingredients: 1 chicken egg, 100 g of any hard cheese, 1 clove of garlic (or to taste), 2 tbsp. l. mayonnaise, black pepper to taste and desire, crab sticks (as much as needed for the filling), favorite greens.
- If crab sticks are in the freezer, they must be defrosted beforehand. Pay attention to the fact that they can "unfold". This is important for this snack.
- Boil the chicken egg and separate the yolk from the protein. Mash the yolk in a convenient container with a fork or a press. You can walk over it with a blender. It is advisable to cut the proteins as small as possible. Fold into a bowl. Add garlic to the egg, which must be passed through a press, grate cheese there. Add mayonnaise and pepper to taste (you can skip it). Mix all ingredients well until smooth.

Expand the crab sticks. This must be done carefully so that they do not break. Spread them with cheese and egg mass. Also roll gently into tubes. Do this with all the filling that is.
- Place the stuffed rolls on a plate. It can be cut into halves or into three parts, so it will be more aesthetically pleasing and convenient.
- Put the prepared appetizer in the refrigerator before serving. If there is no time, then you can serve immediately to the table.
- Serve the finished dish well with herbs. Finely chopped greens will not hurt in the filling. You need to put it down quite a bit, so as not to interrupt the main taste.
