The season of watermelons is coming, but many people refuse this healthy and tasty fruit for only one reason - they do not know how to choose a juicy and ripe watermelon.
I have seen many articles with photographs on various ways to choose the right watermelon. But I never found the perfect one. Corresponding in all respects indicated by someone in some article, the watermelon turned out to be unripe. More and more often the thought came to me that I was doing something wrong.
Once, at a watermelon breakdown, I went through for a long time, for the umpteenth time, several applicants for my table. And the tail is dry, and the colors are bright and contrasting. But how to understand the result of tapping a watermelon? Words cannot convey it. You need to recognize him. You look at those choosing, knocking and applying to the ear, and you do not understand. What sound should it be? And if I don’t hear this sonorous clap, but I don’t have enough strength to crackle the compressed fruit, then what? It turns out that for me all watermelons are unripe.
I thought this way, holding one copy in my hands, and out of habit, I began to tap some melody from below with my fingers. The other hand lay quietly on top of the fruit, lightly touching it with fingers. And oh God, I felt the vibration. As if you knock on a container of water on one side, and she answers you on the other.

I take both reacted watermelons home for testing. And yes, lo and behold! I, finally, twice, chose very juicy and ripe watermelons.
Now I go for watermelons boldly: a dry tail, a neat, brightly contrasting fruit with a yellow barrel, vibrating from my light tapping.
