The word pudding in translation from English means the third dish. Typically, classic puddings are served at the end of a meal. This is an airy, sweet, delicate dish made from milk, eggs, sugar. Sometimes a delicacy is flavored with alcoholic beverages, in this case we add cherry and rum to the pudding - a great combination for dessert.
It is necessary
- For eight servings:
- - 680 g of white bread;
- - 2 cups whipped cream;
- - 2 glasses of milk;
- - 1.5 cups dried cherries;
- - 1, 25 glasses of sugar;
- - 1/4 cup dark rum;
- - 8 eggs;
- - 2 tbsp. spoons of vanilla extract;
- - caramel sauce to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Put the oven to preheat to 200 degrees.
Step 2
Cut out circles with a diameter of about 7-8 cm from the bread, put them on a baking sheet, put in the oven for 5 minutes to brown the bread. Reduce the temperature to 180 degrees.
Step 3
Combine the cream, milk and sugar in a saucepan, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 4
Beat the eggs separately, gently add them to the hot creamy mixture, add rum and vanilla extract, stir.
Step 5
Grease 8 small soufflé tins with butter and place on a baking sheet. Place a slice of bread in each pan, then 1 tbsp. a spoonful of dried cherries. Repeat layers 3 times, the last should be bread.
Step 6
Pour the prepared cream into molds, leave for half an hour, lightly pressing the bread.
Step 7
Then bake the pudding for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with a caramel sauce, which can be cooked with plain water and sugar.
