Vegetarian menus can be quite varied. These patties are yet another game with taste buds. The taste of lentil pâté with carrots is very similar to the taste of liver. Neither children nor adults will refuse such a delicious pie. Moreover, they will ask for supplements!
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - water - 250 ml
- - vegetable oil - 140 ml
- - salt - 1 tsp
- - coriander or momo masala - 1 tsp
- - flour - 350 g
- For filling:
- - lentils - 300 g
- - carrots - 0.5 kg
- - salt - to taste
- - spices: asafoetida, hop-suneli, black pepper - to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Boil the lentils first. Place it in a saucepan with plenty of water and bring to a boil. Simmer over medium heat until soft (about half an hour or more).
Step 2
Meanwhile, wash and peel the carrots. Grate it on a coarse grater and fry in vegetable oil. At the end of frying, season with salt and add asafoetida, black pepper and suneli hops to taste.
Step 3
While the lentils and carrots are cooking, make a pie dough. Pour 250 ml of water into a deep container. Pour in 140 ml of vegetable oil. Sift 350 g of flour there, add salt and spices in a teaspoon and knead a soft dough. Cover it with plastic and set it aside.
Step 4
Salt the cooked and slightly cooled lentils. Mix carrots with lentils. Punch with a blender until pasty. The filling is ready!
Step 5
Roll out the dough with a sausage and cut it into pieces. Roll each piece into a cake, put the filling inside and pinch the edges. Bake the finished pies in the oven at 180 C.
