Unfortunately, the high price of tea does not guarantee quality. Craftsmen forge real tea, add dyes and preservatives to it, and re-process old leaves. Such a fake can be identified by some signs.
Instructions
Step 1
Pay attention to dry brewing. Quality tea cannot have broken tea leaves of different colors.
Step 2
When brewing quality tea, you get a uniform color. Abrupt transitions are possible in varieties that contain berries, fruits, or flower petals. Also, a low grade is determined by the presence of stems and leaves of different sizes and shades in the tea leaves.
Step 3
Be sure to check the tea for smell. Quality varieties have a subtle aroma, even with the addition of flowers and berries. If you smell burning, mold, or notice dust, then you bought a fake.
Step 4
Don't write off buying a large batch of tea, grab some tea leaves and check it out. If, when brewing, the tea becomes cloudy and does not have a foam, then this is a second-rate drink. When brewing high-quality tea, a yellow-brown foam is always formed, and the drink itself has a transparent, not cloudy color.
Step 5
When you taste quality tea, you will enjoy the first sip. If there are any additives, then they will not interrupt the overall taste of the tea. A quality drink is slightly bitter. However, if you experience a strong bitterness, plastic or burning taste, then you are drinking a fake. Natural tea cannot have a pungent odor; its aroma increases gradually.
Step 6
Try the experiment in cold water. If you brew low-quality tea, the water will be colored, while natural drinks will leave the water practically unchanged.
Step 7
Don't rush to discard the leaves after use. Take a look at the tea leaves. The leaves of a quality drink should fully open up and leave behind a pleasant, delicate aroma.
