Quality cognac is a multipurpose product. It is a wonderful gift, a festive table decoration, and, if just a little, a stress reliever after a hard day at work. Unfortunately, not all manufacturers are honest, and sometimes poor quality cognac is sold at a high price. You can be safe if you know what is the difference between good and bad cognac.
Instructions
The first thing you should pay attention to when choosing a cognac is the data from the manufacturer. Each bottle must have the following marks: name of the manufacturer, date of bottling, storage conditions, strength of the drink, volume of the bottle, aging period. Also, each bottle must have an excise stamp.
Try to determine the quality of the cognac before buying.
Take the bottle and turn it upside down. See how the drink flows down the sides of the bottle. If the cognac stacks quickly, then its quality leaves much to be desired. For a good one, the last straw falls hard from the bottom.
The color of the skate should be saturated. Pay attention to transparency. A good cognac should not contain any foreign impurities.
Buy famous brands of cognac. These cognacs are often sold in original bottles that are difficult to counterfeit.
You can check the quality of the drink even when the bottle is already open.
Pour brandy into a transparent glass. Place your finger on the inside of the glass. Look carefully to see if the fingerprint is visible. If the print is visible, then you have good quality cognac.
Pour a little drink into a cognac glass and smell it after a few seconds. If the first thing you smell is the smell of alcohol, then the brandy is of poor quality. A good cognac should have a deep, multifaceted aroma.
Swallow some cognac and hold it in your mouth before swallowing. The taste from high-quality cognac is pleasant and lasts a long time.
