For the test, you will need:

  • 2.5 cups flour;
  • 125 ml of milk;
  • 125 ml of water;
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 g salt;
  • 50 grams of vegetable oil;
  • 1 egg;
  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast.

Products for pie filling:

  • 400 g of liver (you can choose a liver to your taste, but chicken is better);
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 medium carrot;
  • spices and salt to taste.

How to make liver pies

Add yeast to warm milk with water and leave the mixture in a warm place for about 10-15 minutes. Then add sugar and most of the butter (it should be soft). Add flour gradually. Put the resulting dough in a bowl greased with the remaining oil. Let the dough rest, cover it with a towel. While the dough is waiting in the wings, proceed to the filling.

There are several ways to make a filling for fried liver pies:

1. Boil the liver and mince it (you can use a blender). Finely chop the onion and carrots and let them simmer in a skillet (you can fry in olive oil). Mix liver and vegetables, add spices to your liking.

2. Cut the onion into large cubes, the carrot into rings. Cut the liver into small pieces. Fry the onions, add the carrots and then the liver. Fry the filling for 10-15 minutes. Add spices after cooking to keep the liver soft. Grind the mass in a blender.

Choose the filling for the pies according to your taste!

Divide the dough into pieces, put the filling, form a pie. You can flatten it a little to make it fried better. Fry pies on both sides until blush.
