Many housewives prefer spicy, aromatic, quick and simple preparations for the winter. For example, pickled bell peppers with apples. It is prepared quickly enough, the recipe is simple, and the preparation pleases the whole winter.
It is necessary
- - 10 pieces. bell peppers
- - 8 apples,
- - 4 onions.
- For the marinade:
- - 4 teaspoons of salt,
- - 4 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar
- - 4 tbsp. tablespoons of vinegar (9 percent),
- - 3 tbsp. spoons of ketchup,
- - 1 l. water + another 1 liter for pouring pepper, which then pour out,
- - 2 bay leaves.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the onions, cut into half rings (3 mm thick). Place the onions in jars. The recipe is designed for two cans of two liters.
Step 2
Rinse the bell peppers, peel them of cores and seeds. Cut the peeled peppers lengthwise into 6 strips. Place some of the peppers in the jars.
Step 3
Rinse the apples, you do not need to remove the skins, cut into slices and put them in jars with the pepper. Arrange apples and peppers in layers (tightly).
Step 4
Boil a liter of water and pour over jars of peppers and apples. Cover the jars with lids and let sit for five minutes. Then drain the water into a saucepan (this water is needed for the marinade).
Step 5
Pour the jars of pepper with a liter of boiling water again, leave for five minutes, then drain the water (this water is not needed).
Step 6
Add sugar, salt and ketchup to the pot with the first water drained from the jars. Mix well, the sugar should dissolve. Add vinegar, stir. Put the saucepan on the fire, bring to a boil.
Step 7
Pour the hot marinade over the jars of pepper and apples. Roll up the lids, turn over, cover with a blanket and leave to cool to room temperature. Store in a closet, refrigerator, or cellar.
