- - onions - 1 pc.;
- - carrots - 1 pc.;
- - garlic - 2-3 cloves;
- - soluble gelatin - 30 g;
- - chicken fillet, thigh or drumstick - 2-3 pcs.;
- - water - 1 l;
- - bay leaves - 2-3 pcs.;
- - black pepper, allspice and salt - to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Cooking should begin by processing the chicken, which should be washed and placed in a saucepan filled with heated water and cooked until it boils. Then drain the broth and fill the chicken with clean water, put it on the fire again. The water is drained at the very beginning of cooking so that no foam forms.
Step 2
In the meantime, prepare the vegetables: wash the carrots and onions, peel, and then cut into several parts depending on the size and put the broth to boil with the meat, to which you need to add black peppercorns, allspice, bay leaf, and also crushed with using a garlic press.
Step 3
After the chicken is cooked, strain the broth and remove the meat. Pour gelatin into the broth and mix well. Then, when the chicken has cooled down, it should be disassembled, namely: remove the bones, remove the skin and cut into small pieces.
Step 4
Slice the carrots in the same way. Transfer the carrots and chicken to the broth, then pour it into a container suitable for solidification and send it to the refrigerator. It is best to send aspic to the refrigerator after it has cooled slightly.
Step 5
It is very interesting to experiment with forms for aspic: you can use molds suitable for making muffins, for example, stars, hearts or Christmas trees. If you are using small forms for aspic, then the ingredients should be chopped as carefully as possible.
Step 6
After your chicken aspic has hardened, you can take it out of the mold, transfer it to a nice plate and cut it. Jellied chicken with gelatin is good to serve with horseradish, ketchup, mustard or any fresh herbs.
