Meringue is a French dessert made with whipped egg whites and baked in the oven. To diversify the traditional recipe, you can add a layer of chocolate cream to the meringues.
It is necessary
- - 5 eggs (whites separate from the yolks);
- - 290 gr. icing sugar;
- - 2 spoons of cocoa;
- - 2 tablespoons of instant coffee;
- - 110 gr. butter.
Instructions
Step 1
Separate the whites from the yolks. Add 170 g to proteins. icing sugar and beat until smooth. Place the bowl of cream in a water bath and whisk at minimum speed for 15 minutes.
Step 2
We shift the cream into a pastry syringe and form meringues of the same size on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. We send the meringues to the oven (130C) for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 100C and bake for another 50 minutes.
Step 3
At this time, we prepare the chocolate cream. Mix the yolks in a bowl with the remaining powdered sugar. Beat the cream in a water bath for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Add coffee and cocoa, mix the cream. When it cools down, pour melted butter into it and mix again.
Step 5
We take the meringues out of the oven, let them cool. On one meringue with a pastry syringe, gently squeeze out the cream and close it with the second meringue. Airy dessert is ready!
