July is the top of summer and cucumber season. Fresh cucumbers are sold all year round in stores. And when our own ripened and we reaped a rich harvest, unfortunately everyone was already full. But do not despair, we will experiment. Cucumbers are usually salted with apples and currants. Let's take a chance and replace them with cherries and gooseberries.
It is necessary
- - 1.5 kg of cucumbers;
- - 100 g of cherries;
- - 100 g gooseberries;
- - 4 cloves of garlic;
- - 1, 5 Art. tablespoons of salt;
- - 1 sheet of horseradish;
- - 1 bay leaf;
- - allspice peas;
- - 2 umbrellas of dill;
- - 3 currant leaves.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the cucumbers under running water. Cut off the ends. Place in a bowl of cold water for 2 hours.
Step 2
Rinse the dill umbrellas. Put on the table and roll with a rolling pin.
Step 3
Separate the garlic from the husk and chop finely.
Step 4
Sort the gooseberries and cherries, rinse under running water, and discard in a colander. Allow excess water to drain.
Step 5
Take a thick plastic bag. Place dill, garlic, gooseberries, cherries, horseradish and currant leaves, bay leaves, peppers and cucumbers in it. Salt and gently shake the contents of the bag.
Step 6
Place the bag in a cool place. After 6 hours, the cucumbers will be ready. Shake the contents of the bag gently every 2 hours.
Step 7
Serve ready-made salted cucumbers with young boiled potatoes.
