Only at the mere mention of this crispy snack, a knowledgeable person will salivate, remember all the best and want to get the coveted jar out of the cellar or refrigerator as soon as possible and taste a couple of cucumbers.
To make your own cucumbers, you will need small cucumbers, spices (dill, horseradish, currant or cherry leaves) and garlic.
Cut off the ends from the cucumbers, peel the garlic, wash them and rinse the above spices under clean water.
Prepare the brine in the following proportion, 2 tablespoons of salt per liter of water.
Pour glass jars with boiling water, and after that put there first herbs, then a little garlic, and only after that cucumbers. Pour the brine over the contents of the jar and add some more spices. You do not need to tighten the lids, just cover the necks of the cans with them. After a day of standing at room temperature, you can already enjoy lightly salted cucumbers.
But if you wait a day unbearable, you can make a slightly different taste in just 10 minutes. Cut the vegetable lengthwise into 4 slices, after cutting off the ends. Place them in a jar with a tight lid. Cucumbers should only fill half the volume. Sprinkle them with salt, dill, garlic and add a little sugar, and then shake the container vigorously with the lid closed, of course, for about 10 minutes. And the salted cucumbers are ready.
