Both children and adults love gingerbread. Honey gingerbread cookies are very tender, soft and tasty. And making them is not at all difficult. Treat yourself and your loved ones with homemade honey cakes.
It is necessary
- - 500 grams of flour,
- - 1 egg,
- - 250 grams of honey,
- - 100 grams of sugar
- - 50 grams of butter,
- - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- - 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- - a pinch of nutmeg,
- - 2 teaspoons baking powder
- - 50 grams of nuts,
- - 30 grams of candied fruits,
- - 100 milliliters of milk.
Instructions
Step 1
Chop the butter into pieces and melt at room temperature. Add honey and sugar to the butter. Melt the resulting mixture in a hot water bath, without boiling.
Step 2
Remove the honey mass from the heat and let it cool. Break the egg into a small bowl and mix with the cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour the seasoned egg into the honey mass and mix well.
Step 3
Finely chop the nuts and candied fruits with a knife. Mix flour thoroughly with baking powder.
Step 4
Gently add flour in small portions to the honey mass and stir well. Add candied nuts and stir. Knead a plastic dough.
Step 5
Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Roll small balls out of the dough. Make each ball slightly flattened and place on a baking sheet. Using a cooking brush, brush the milk over the gingerbread cookies.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the gingerbread cookies for about 20 minutes. Check readiness with a toothpick. Gently pierce the gingerbread with it and, if the toothpick remains clean (no dough stuck to it), then the gingerbread is ready.
Step 7
Transfer the cooled gingerbread cookies to a cardboard box lined with paper towels or napkins. Close the box and let the gingerbread cookies sit for a few hours. This will help soften them.
