Pomegranate juice is extremely rich in ascorbic acid, fruit acids, antioxidants and sugar. This drink is not only tasty, but also very healthy. Pomegranate juice ensures good digestion, improves appetite, strengthens the heart muscle and increases hemoglobin.
It is necessary
- - ripe pomegranates - 2 pcs.;
- - boiled water - 50 ml;
- - sugar - 1 tbsp. the spoon;
- - gauze.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the pomegranates with cold water. Dry them with a towel and then peel them. Divide the pomegranates into several pieces with your hands, and carefully separate each seed from each other, pouring them into a clean bowl. At the same time, remove and discard all light films.
Step 2
Prepare cheesecloth. To do this, fold it several times to create a multi-layered pouch.
Step 3
Pour a small part of the pomegranate seeds into the prepared cheesecloth, and grab the cheesecloth with a bag with one hand. With your other hand, squeeze the bag firmly, holding it over the bowl into which the juice will drain. Choose dishes with high walls so that the spray does not scatter. Squeeze the juice thoroughly so that no whole grains remain in the gauze. Place small portions of the grains in cheesecloth so you get more juice.
Step 4
Place the bowl of juice in the refrigerator for 12 hours. During this time, the sediment will sink to the bottom of the container, and the resulting juice will become transparent. Remove the bowl from the refrigerator and gently pour the clear juice into another bowl. At the same time, cover the bowl with gauze, folded in half, so that when juice is poured from one dish to another, the sediment remains in place.
Step 5
Two medium-sized pomegranates will make about 200 ml of tasty and healthy juice. But drinking pomegranate juice undiluted is quite dangerous. the acids it contains can be detrimental to your stomach and tooth enamel. Therefore, add 50 ml of cool boiled water. You can sweeten the juice with sugar to taste.
