There is a lot of information that you cannot trust the quality of water from water taps. And, if some two decades ago we opened our mouths in amazement when we learned that people in the West have been buying water for a long time, then today this fact does not surprise anyone at all. Now vending machines for the sale of water have become commonplace, almost all offices use bottled water, and in private homes too. However, more and more often the media are full of headlines about fakes and falsifications of such water. But if you don't trust tap water, as well as bottled and sold in kiosks, then what to do?
It is necessary
- Household filters;
- Silver products;
- Activated carbon, shungite;
- Freezer;
- Wild plants
Instructions
Step 1
Silver. Water purification by placing a silver object in it has been known for a long time. However, experts note that water is not purified in this way, but is disinfected. These are two different things. That is, silver will kill germs and bacteria, but not get rid of harmful impurities. And the surface of a silver item placed in water should be rather big (it is unrealistic to process a 10-liter bucket of water with a thin ring). And most importantly: doctors are still not sure about the benefits of oxidized "silver" water, because such water may be contraindicated in some diseases.
Step 2
Household filters. The most common and optimal way to purify water. Everything is under your personal control, and there is complete confidence that the water is purified. What is important when buying and using such a filter? It is important not to save money. If you do not change the cartridge on the filter in time, all the harmful substances that he took upon himself, giving you clean water, will one day splash into it, and you, without noticing it, calmly drink this “cocktail”. Of course, if you are a disciplined person and will follow the instructions exactly, i.e. change the cartridges in a timely manner, such a disaster will not happen, but still it is better to opt for a multi-level reverse osmosis water purification system (although it is several times more expensive than a household filter based on the principle of a jug). It contains several filters at once, each of which performs its own role - from removing rust and colloidal particles to filtration at the molecular level. Only one fact may not suit the quality of water treated by such an installation - the system, along with impurities, removes all useful microelements. In fact, the water becomes almost distilled or, as they say, "dead". Here you have to choose - either continue to drink tap water with all its "delights", or use water devoid of nutrients, but absolutely harmless and safe, and get useful microelements from food.
Step 3
"Folk" methods of water purification: - using activated carbon, which is freely available in pharmacies. Throw coal into tap water at the rate of 1 tablet per 1 liter of water, let stand for 8 hours. Coal will absorb some toxic substances, the metallic taste will disappear from the water, it will taste good. Change the tablets after each drain of the water; - with the help of shungite, which is sold in pharmacies. Pre-rinse the mineral under running water, then pour it into a container and fill it with the amount of water specified in the instruction leaflet. Let it brew for 24 hours. Precipitation is possible in the form of flakes, colloidal formations, etc. Shungite is a natural adsorbent that absorbs biotoxins, pesticides, heavy metals and radionuclides, as well as other impurities that may be in water; - by freezing. Place the container with water in the freezer (in winter on the balcony / loggia). When the water has solidified, remove from the refrigerator. Heat a thin knitting needle over the fire and pierce the ice, into which the water has turned. Why do this? Usually a liquid remains in the middle of a pile of ice - it contains all the harmful substances contained in the water. It just needs to be drained. Thaw the remaining ice and use it as directed. The melt water is safe to drink. Moreover, it is extremely useful and even helps to get rid of some diseases - if you are on a hike or by chance found yourself in an area far from civilization, and at the same time you have run out of water, herbs can help out. Pick up branches of wild mountain ash, birch, string grass, St. John's wort and nettle, put them in water and leave for an hour and a half. Strain. The water will be usable. If you are going to drink it, and not just cook food on it, it is better to boil it additionally.
