The lemon-flavored poppy seed donuts will appeal to many baking lovers. According to this recipe, they are lush, moist and soft, perfect for tea and coffee.

- - 50 g of butter;
- - ¼ Art. vegetable oil;
- - ¾ Art. + 2 tbsp Sahara;
- - 1 tbsp. lemon peel;
- - 2 large eggs;
- - ¾ Art. + 2 tbsp Buttermilk (low-fat yogurt or sour milk)
- - 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice;
- - a little softened butter.
- For glaze:
- - 1 ¾ st. icing sugar;
- - 3 ½ tbsp. fresh lemon juice.

Step 1
Turn the oven on to preheat to 375 ° C.

In one bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and 1.5 tbsp. poppy seeds.
Step 3
Melt the butter or leave it at room temperature until tender. In a second bowl, beat melted butter, vegetable oil, sugar, lemon zest with a mixer for 1 minute. Add one egg at a time. Whisk again.
Step 4
In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk and lemon juice. It will start to curl up a bit, so stir very quickly.
Step 5
Gradually add the flour and creamy egg mixture into the buttermilk. Knead the dough, it should not turn out to be liquid and keep its shape.
Step 6
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Fill a pastry bag and squeeze out a donut-shaped mass. Approximately from this amount of dough, about 18 pieces of donuts are obtained. Bake in a preheated oven for 7-8 minutes, check readiness with a toothpick. Leave the baked donuts to cool.
Step 7
Prepare the icing. Whisk the icing sugar and lemon juice until the mixture is homogeneous without lumps. Place the icing on the donuts and leave to set at room temperature. Sprinkle with poppy seeds for decoration.
