A delicious delicacy can be prepared even from the simplest products, the main thing is to combine them correctly. I suggest you bake a lemon poppy seed cookie. The recipe for its preparation is very simple, and the taste is just wonderful!
It is necessary
- - egg - 1 pc.;
- - lemon - 1 pc.;
- - butter - 220 g;
- - sugar - 250 g;
- - vanilla sugar - 1 tablespoon;
- - baking powder for dough - 1 teaspoon;
- - flour - 500 g;
- - poppy seeds - 2, 5 tablespoons;
- - salt - a pinch.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the lemon thoroughly under running water. Grind its zest with a fine grater. Squeeze all the juice out of the remaining pulp.
Step 2
Put the lemon juice on the stove, pouring it into a small saucepan. Boil until the volume is 2 times less than the original. Once this happens, add 110 grams of butter to the lemon juice. When it melts, remove the resulting liquid mass from the heat - it should cool down.
Step 3
Meanwhile, in a separate cup, place the following ingredients: the remaining 110 grams of butter, grated lemon zest, as well as granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, poppy seeds and a raw egg. Mix the resulting mass thoroughly with a blender.
Step 4
Add a mixture of zest and butter to the cooled lemon mass. Mix everything thoroughly, then add wheat flour there. Do this gradually, while passing the flour through a sieve. Also, don't forget to add salt and baking powder. After mixing everything until smooth, you will get a dough for future cookies.
Step 5
Roll out the finished dough in the shape of a layer, the thickness of which is approximately 1, 5-2 centimeters, and cut out all kinds of figures from it using cookie cutters.
Step 6
Place the resulting figures from the dough on a baking sheet, pre-covered with parchment. Send the future cookies to the oven, the temperature of which is 180 degrees, for 15-20 minutes.
Step 7
After this period of time has passed, remove the baked goods from the oven, cool, then boldly serve. Lemon poppy seed cookies are ready!
