Beetroot juice is a safe natural color. It can be used to color eggs for Easter in beautiful shades from light pink to burgundy.
It is necessary
- - eggs;
- - 1 liter of water;
- - 3 large beets;
- - 1 teaspoon of vinegar.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and grate the beets. Put the mixture in water and stir thoroughly. Lower all eggs and put on fire. Cook for 15 minutes after boiling.
Step 2
To make the color richer, leave the eggs in the beetroot broth until they cool, and then fill them with cold water so that the shell is better cleaned. Wipe the dyed egg with a clean towel and rub with a little vegetable oil to make the dyed eggs shine.
Step 3
Another way is to dye the eggs with fresh beetroot juice. Grate the peeled beets, put the mixture in cheesecloth and squeeze the juice. Boil the eggs hard-boiled, cool and dip in the juice for a few minutes. Then remove the colored eggs and dry them. Beetroot juice will give the dyes a pinkish tint.
