Easter cake and beautifully decorated eggs are the main decoration of the Easter table. In this case, many housewives want to distinguish themselves and arrange the eggs in a very unusual and original way. Coloring in a solution of onion peels is one of the oldest and safest methods.

Painting eggs with onion skins

This method was used by our ancestors, it is no less popular in our time. To prepare a solution for dyeing, pour onion peels with hot water, bring to a boil and simmer for half an hour - an hour over low heat. Then let the solution cool, add a spoonful of salt (this will prevent the eggs from bursting during cooking), put the eggs in it and cook for 15-20 minutes. The more onion husks, the richer the finished product will turn out.

You can remove the eggs from the pan in several pieces at different intervals, then we get the eggs from yellow to deep red-brown color. We remove the boiled eggs from the dishes, put them on a paper towel to swell. To give the eggs a glossy shine, grease them with sunflower oil.

If you have the time and desire, you can decorate such testicles. For this we need any leaves, blades of grass, greens, etc. We moisten a raw egg with water and put parsley leaves on it, or a sprig of dill, a birch leaf, etc., and put it in a piece of nylon (you can use old clean stockings or tights), tie knots or sew it up and send it to paint in an onion solution. Then we also grease with vegetable oil.

Instead of leaves and twigs, you can use various stickers (stars, hearts, crosses, etc.) purchased in a store or made with your own hand from scrap materials. We glue stickers on the eggs and paint in the standard way. Or, on the contrary, you can stick patterns on ready-made and cooled eggs, but you don't need to grease them with oil, otherwise the stickers will lag behind.
