Send the eggs there and boil them for 10-15 minutes until tender. to get a richer shade, leave the eggs in the solution for another 15-30 minutes. the longer they are there, the richer the shell shade will turn out.
Step 2
To get striped eggs, cover the shell with small pieces of scotch tape and boil in water with onion husks, as described above. If you stick circles, flowers or any other figures cut from scotch tape on an egg, and then boil until tender in onion broth, you get red-brown eggs with white patterns.
Step 3
For a marbled-effect shell, wrap the husk around the eggs, secure it with threads to prevent slipping during cooking, and submerge it in water. Boil the eggs until tender and remove the husks, the shell will turn out in marble stains.
