Healthy Potentilla Tea

Kuril tea is nothing more than a shrub called "Potentilla". The places of its growth extend from the northern regions of Siberia, Primorye to central Russia. Plants from the Altai Territory, which are located along clean mountain rivers, are most valued.

Potentilla blooms from late May to mid-September. The plant received the name "Kuril tea" for its great popularity as a hot drink by the peoples of the Urals and the Kuril Peninsula, for its beneficial properties and pleasant aroma.

The following substances can be found in this plant:

- quinones;

- flavonoids;

- ellagic acid;

- synapic acid;

- ferulic acid;

- ascorbic acid;

- PP vitamins;

- carotene and other elements.

An important property of Kuril tea is to have a quick sedative effect in case of stress and nervous breakdowns. It is also recommended to use it for sick liver and diarrhea.

Drinking tea normalizes the metabolic balance and helps to get rid of urinary incontinence (especially from nocturnal).

Kuril tea is very popular in Tibetan medicine. Flowers, stems and even the roots of Potentilla are used to prepare a fragrant drink.

Several recipes for making Kuril tea

Preparing tea in the first way requires:

- 2 tablespoons of Potentilla flowers;

- 500 ml of water.

The tops of dry plants with flowers must be crushed and filled with boiling water. Simmer under the lid for 8 minutes over low heat. Defend for 2 hours. Filter the finished tea and drink 100 ml before meals 3-4 times a day.

Officially, Kuril tea is not a medicine. But it is recommended to take it with caution in order to avoid an allergic reaction to the plant.

To make tea in the second way, you need to take:

- 1 tablespoon of Potentilla leaves;

- a glass of boiling water.

Making a drink from leaves is no different than making a drink from flowers. Only the method of application differs due to the stronger concentration of active substances in the leaves and stems of the plant. Dosage: 2 tablespoons before meals.

The third method of making Kuril tea requires:

- 1 tablespoon of Potentilla roots;

- glass of water.

Chop the roots of Potentilla and cover with water. Boil for about 10 minutes, covered. Insist and strain for two hours. Drink 3-4 times a day for a tablespoon half an hour before meals.

Kuril tea can be prepared in an easier way. To do this, dry Potentilla flowers must be poured into a regular teapot for brewing and boiled with boiling water. Insist as a simple tea for a few minutes. You can use Kuril tea like a regular tea leaves, diluting it with boiling water. The drink must be sweetened with honey or sugar.
