The famous Baileys cream liqueur began to be produced in 1974 from Irish cream and whiskey. Sweet lovers drink it in its pure form, it is especially pleasant with ice. There are a large number of Baileys-based cocktails. It is also good to add it to coffee. And you can make such a liqueur at home, and there are several simple recipes.
It is necessary
- - Condensed milk;
- - vanilla sugar;
- - egg yolks;
- - instant coffee;
- - cream;
- - vodka or whiskey;
- - cognac;
- - chocolate.
Instructions
Step 1
For a coffee-flavored Baileys, take 1 can of condensed milk and mix it with 2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar and 4 egg yolks. This can be done with a whisk, but it is better to use a mixer - this will make the mass more homogeneous.
Step 2
Add 1 tablespoon of fine-grained instant coffee to the resulting mixture so that they are sure to dissolve. Whisk the mixture again. Continuing to work with a mixer, pour 400 milliliters of cream into the bowl. If they are very greasy and thick, you can dilute them with milk until the desired consistency is obtained.
Step 3
Pour a 0.5 liter bottle of vodka into the mixture. If you want to bring home "Baileys" even closer to that produced by Bailey & Co, replace the vodka with whiskey. This, however, will make the drink much more expensive. Stir everything thoroughly the last time and leave for a couple of hours to infuse the liquor.
Step 4
If you like chocolate-flavored liqueur, take a bar of natural dark chocolate and melt it in a water bath. Cool the resulting mass and add there a can of condensed milk, a little vanilla sugar, 300 milliliters of heavy cream. All this must be whipped with a mixer, and then pour in a bottle of vodka or whiskey and mix again. Pour the drink into bottles and leave for 24 hours.
Step 5
Try a more sophisticated recipe for this liqueur. Mix 500 milliliters of cream with a glass of sugar and two tablespoons of instant coffee. Then heat the mixture, but do not bring it to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat as soon as the sugar and coffee are dissolved.
Step 6
Cool the liquid to room temperature and beat in 4 egg yolks. Mix everything with a mixer. Now add alcohol. This recipe provides for 100 grams of cognac and whiskey. When the mixture is infused, bottle it.
