Baileys is considered one of the most popular creamy liqueurs, native to Ireland. This liqueur has been produced on an industrial scale for over 30 years. However, you can try making Baileys at home.
It is necessary
- - cream with a fat content of 25% (470 ml);
- –Whiskey (370 ml);
- –Condensed cream (370 g);
- - bitter chocolate (60 g);
- –Vanilla sugar (25 g).
Instructions
Step 1
This is a classic Baileys recipe. There are also options with the addition of mint, caramel, coffee and nuts. Prepare clean dishes in advance. The liquor is prepared in a water bath. Therefore, take a deep saucepan, pour half of the water. Place a smaller saucepan on top so that it is convenient to place all the ingredients there.
Step 2
Free the chocolate from the wrapper, break it into small pieces and place in a saucepan. Stir slowly with a wooden spatula and melt the chocolate. Next, carefully pour in the heavy cream, without ceasing to interfere. Bring the mixture to a smooth consistency.
Step 3
When the chocolate and cream is hot, add the vanilla sugar. Stir until all crystals are dissolved. Then put the condensed cream on the Baileys and pour in the whiskey. Remember, the whiskey must be of good quality. Otherwise, the liquor will not be tasty.
Step 4
When all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, leave the drink to cool down for a while. Prepare small, clean bottles. Pour warm liquor into each bottle, seal tightly with lids and place in a cold place until it cools completely. Baileys is stored for a long time, and is served with whipped cream, ice or grated hazelnuts.
