By the list

Delicate blackcurrant pie will come in handy if you need to use stocks of old jam or candied jam. The dough can be made in different ways for this dessert, but the traditional list of required ingredients is as follows:

- 1 glass of jam (about 200 ml, any density);

- 1 tbsp. wheat flour;

- 1 tbsp. kefir (you can skim);

- 1, 5 Art. Sahara;

- 3 chicken eggs;

- 1 tbsp. sour cream (thick enough, high fat content);

- 1 tbsp. crushed walnuts;

- zest of one lemon;

- 1 teaspoon of baking soda;

- vanillin (to taste).

If suddenly there is no jam, you can take fresh or frozen berries and grind them with a spoonful of sugar. Black currant also goes well with raspberries, red currants and apples.

As easy as pie

With everything you need at hand, making such a pie is as easy as shelling pears. First you need to make the right dough. Break eggs into a deep bowl and beat them with half a glass of sugar. Then send jam, kefir, soda there and mix everything well. Now you can add flour and vanilla, stirring all the time, so that the mass turns out to be viscous and homogeneous.

Now you can bake the base of the future cake. Put the dough in a greased dish so that nothing burns, spread and flatten the dough and send it to the hot oven. For 40 minutes the cake will be baked at 180-200 ° C. You can periodically pierce it slightly, checking readiness. Even if the crust is already browning on the outside, the capricious dough inside may still remain damp.

In the meantime, you can do the cream. Beat a glass of sugar with a mixer with sour cream, crushed nuts and zest. Then the finished cake must be cooled and cut in half lengthwise, turning into 2 thinner cakes, each of which is generously greased with cream and left to soak. The top of the pie can be sprinkled with nuts or garnished with fresh black and red currants.

There is also a filling option. Put a thin layer of currant jam between the cakes, or simply sprinkle them with currant syrup, and decorate the top and soak with nut cream. In addition to pure currants, you can use its combinations with your favorite berries and fruits, decorating the top cake with them or adding to the filling.

For lovers of something very simple: any ordinary biscuit or shortbread cookie can be turned into a currant pie by laying out layers of cakes and jam. Sprinkle with a mixture of powdered sugar and cinnamon on top.
