A step-by-step photo recipe for an unusually tasty, aromatic and crumbly shortbread cake with your favorite jam will help you to prepare this delicate delicacy in no time before the arrival of guests.
Many people at home or at a party have tried a delicious pie with raspberry, plum, peach or strawberry jam, sprinkled with interesting crumbs, pieces of baked dough. Most housewives bake it, since the recipe is simple, cooking takes a minimum of time, and the taste of the dessert is delicate and very sweet.
Ingredients
Grated pie with jam is obtained even by those who have never done anything easier than scrambled eggs and sausage sandwiches. And the products necessary for kneading shortcrust pastry are always at hand for many, they are in the refrigerator, kitchen cabinets.
You need to prepare:
- a pack of baking margarine (250 g);
- 500 g wheat flour;
- a teaspoon of baking powder;
- a glass of any jam, but not too liquid, resembled jam in consistency;
- 120 g of sugar (as little as possible, to taste);
- 2 chicken eggs;
- 2 drops of vanilla essence or a packet of vanilla sugar (optional).

Products for kneading the dough must be taken with an unexpired shelf life, fresh and of high quality. It is better to buy margarine for baking, such as "Hostess", before cooking it must be slightly softened by removing it from the refrigerator. The process of step-by-step cooking itself consists of simple steps.
1) Cut margarine into cubes into a bowl, cover with granulated sugar.
2) Beat the margarine with sugar using a mixer at low speed so that the sugar dissolves, you get an almost homogeneous mass with small pieces. The softness of the shortcrust pastry depends on the degree of mixing.
3) Add vanilla essence or vanilla powder to the mass, break eggs into a bowl.
4) Beat the dough with a mixer, then pour the sifted flour mixed with baking powder in small portions. Knead first with a spoon, then with your hands, until you get an elastic dough that does not stick to your fingers.
5) Divide the dough into two unequal parts, put the smaller one in a bag, place in the freezer for 20 minutes. It should freeze, so it will be easier to rub the pieces to decorate the shortcrust pastry with jam.
6) Roll out the rest of the dough, place on a greased baking sheet or in a round shape, shape the sides with your fingers.
7) Put out any jam or thick, wait, jam. If the consistency of the filling is liquid, you can mix it with potato, corn starch in the proportion - 1 teaspoon per 100 ml of jam. When baked, the starch will thicken, preventing the filling from flowing into the baking sheet.
8) Take a frozen piece of shortcrust pastry out of the freezer, grate it over the jam, spreading it over the entire surface.
It takes about 25-30 minutes to bake grated pie with thick jam in the oven, setting the temperature to 180 degrees. The sides and top should brown and the dough should be a little crumbly. The sweet dessert can be served slightly cooled down, cut into portions.
