  • - flour - 3 glasses;
  • - sugar - 1 glass;
  • - baking powder for dough - 1 tsp;
  • - vanillin or vanilla sugar;
  • - any thick jam.

Instructions

Step 1

Melt butter (it can be replaced with margarine) in a water bath, pour into a bowl and let cool. If the butter is very hard, for example, from the freezer, then you can rub it on a medium soup grater.

Pour sugar into the butter, add vanillin, beat the eggs and mix everything thoroughly.

Step 2

Mix the flour with baking powder, sift it through a sieve, and pour it into a bowl in small portions. The resulting shortbread dough should be thick. We spread it on a table sprinkled with flour and knead until it stops sticking to our hands. Divide the dough into 2 parts, one of them should be smaller, put it in the freezer for an hour. Put the rest on a greased form, gently level it with your hands, spread the jam on top with an even layer.

The second part of the dough (the one that was in the freezer) is rubbed on a coarse grater over the jam.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 190-200 degrees, put a baking sheet in it for 15-20 minutes. After the allotted time, we take out a sand cake with jam, carefully remove it from the baking sheet, cut it into pieces and serve it to the table.

Sand cake with jam is good both hot and chilled.

Quite a lot of sugar and butter are used in baking, so those who follow the figure are not recommended to get carried away with such baking.
