The best treat for unexpected guests is something that cooks quickly. With pita rolls with crab sticks, it will also be very tasty. Choose a hearty option with eggs, or opt for a light snack with green vegetables, either way, you'll have a great dish on the table in just half an hour.
Hearty pita rolls with crab sticks
Ingredients:
- 1 flat cake of Armenian lavash;
- 100 g of crab sticks;
- 2 chicken eggs;
- 70 g of hard cheese;
- 3 tbsp. sour cream and mayonnaise;
- 20 g of dill;
- salt.
Pour the water over the eggs in a saucepan, place over high heat and cook hard-boiled for 8-9 minutes. Submerge them in cold water until they cool, then peel and chop.
The filling will turn out to be more tender if the eggs are not simply cut with a knife, but thoroughly rubbed with a fork or grated.
Free the crab sticks from the plastic, cut them into very small pieces, put them in a bowl and knead them with your fingers. Grate the hard cheese finely.
Combine all prepared ingredients in one bowl and add chopped dill. Season the resulting salad with a mixture of sour cream and mayonnaise and mix well. Taste it and salt it if necessary, but not too much.
Spread the pita bread on the table, put all the filling on it and spread it over the entire surface of the layer with the back of a tablespoon, being careful not to damage the base of the dish. Leave the edge 3-4 cm intact so that the crab mass does not come out when folding the cake.
Roll a roll from the longitudinal side of the pita bread, place it on a tray, cover with cling film and leave to soak for 20 minutes. Then cut it across into pieces 2-3 cm long using a very sharp knife so as not to spoil the appearance of the rolls.
Light pita rolls with crab sticks, vegetables and cheese
Ingredients:
- 1 pack of Armenian lavash;
- 200 g of crab sticks;
- 250 g of processed cheese;
- 2 cucumbers;
- 100 g of green salad;
- 30 g of dill;
- 100 g of natural yogurt or low-fat sour cream;
- 3-4 tbsp. mayonnaise.
If you took frozen crab sticks, do not defrost them until the end, but grate in a semi-solid state on a fine grater.
Peel the cucumbers, cut them lengthwise into 2-3 pieces and cut into strips. Chop lettuce and dill and combine all greens in one bowl. Add chopped crab sticks there, season with yogurt and mayonnaise. Do not add salt to the mass, because cheese is involved in the recipe.
Spread the sheets of pita bread and spread them with melted cheese using a dull knife. Place the cooked crab mixture on top, flatten it and wrap the tortillas in thick rolls. Let them rest for 15-20 minutes, then cut off the dry ends. Cut the pita sausages into rolls, transfer them to a dish, arrange them beautifully and serve.
