Step 1

You can use ready-made puff yeast dough, then the puffs will be softer and will not crumble very much. Roll out the dough on a floured surface, cut into squares of equal size.

Step 2

Cut the cheese into squares 0.5 cm thick. On each piece of dough, put a piece of cheese, roll it up in an envelope or whatever you like. I do pintucks at the edge, it turns out rectangular puffs. Press down the edge with a fork for beauty and so that it sticks better.

Step 3

Place the puffs on a greased baking sheet. Grease the puffs with a beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake in the oven at 180-200 degrees until golden brown. It can be served both hot and cold, and not only for tea, but also as an appetizer for some dishes, such as soups.

Puff pastry should be baked at about 210-230 degrees. Do not bake it at a lower temperature.
