Modern people more and more often come across low-quality alcohol, which they buy in stores. Therefore, many have a desire to prepare liqueurs and tinctures on their own. This is not surprising - people began to make liqueurs back in the Middle Ages. They were made from cherries and aromatic herbs, coconut milk and lemon, almonds and cream. Peaches have also taken their place in the preparation of liqueurs.

Peach liqueur - recipe one

Making peach liqueur at home is a snap. All you need is ripe peaches, alcohol or vodka, water, cloves, and sugar. For peach liqueur, it is best to use soft peaches. First you need to rinse them thoroughly and remove the skin. Only peaches without pits go to the liqueur - the kernel of the pits contains harmful substances. Mash the peaches until puree and pass the resulting mass through a sieve. Cover the peach gruel with sugar, stir and leave in this state for two days. After that, the mass must be re-filtered through a sieve and add alcohol or vodka to it. At the last stage of the preparation of the liqueur, ground cloves are added to it. After that, the liquor is filtered and bottled.

Peach liqueur - recipe two

Another peach liqueur recipe is based on vodka and does not include cloves. To prepare such a liqueur, you will need 6-8 ripe peaches, three quarters of a glass of sugar, the same amount of vodka and half a glass of water. This amount is enough to prepare one liter of liquor.

To better separate the skin from the peaches, you can pour boiling water over the fruit for one minute. After that, the peaches are removed from the boiling water and placed in cold water so that they do not have time to warm up.

Peeled peaches are cut into four parts and put in a jar. Instead of sugar, sugar syrup is used to make liqueur, which is prepared in a separate saucepan. The cooled syrup is added to the peaches in a jar. At the last stage, the mixture is poured with vodka. From above it is covered with a layer of filter paper so that the peaches floating on the surface do not darken over time. The jar is closed with a lid and left to "ripen" for two months in a cool place. The peach liqueur prepared in this way can be stored for several years, acquiring an increasingly noble taste every year.
