Liqueur "Limoncello" is a popular and favorite drink in Italy, which is not difficult to prepare at home. There is no single strict recipe; everywhere this drink is prepared in different ways. The strength can vary from 16 to 40 degrees, and the sugar content is from 10 to 50 grams of sugar per 10 ml of drink.
It is necessary
- To prepare 1.25 liqueur, you will need:
- - 7 lemons
- - 0.7 vodka
- - 0.5 sugar
- - 1 can of 1 liter
- - 1 bottle of 1.5 liters
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the lemons and peel off the zest carefully, being careful not to cut off the white layer. A regular potato peeler is ideal for this.
Step 2
Grind the zest a little, put it in a jar and fill it with vodka. Put the peeled lemons in the refrigerator, they will still be useful to us. Put the jar in the refrigerator or in another dark cool place and leave for 5 days.
Step 3
After 5 days, we need to strain our infusion. The zest can be thrown away. Next, we cook the syrup. To do this, we take our peeled lemons and squeeze the juice out of them. We should get about 0.5 liters of juice, if it turns out less - add water. Then add 0.5 sugar, stir and boil a little.
We mix our tincture and chilled syrup, and put it in the refrigerator for another two days.
Your Limoncello liqueur is ready! Serve chilled from small frozen glasses.
