In Italy, a lemon liqueur called "Limoncello" is very popular. It turns out that this drink can also be prepared at home. This is what I propose to you to do.
It is necessary
- - lemon - 3 pcs.;
- - sugar - 700 g;
- - water - 750 ml;
- - food alcohol 96% - 750 ml.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the lemons thoroughly, dry, then take a sharp knife and carefully remove the zest from each. Cut the fruit in half and squeeze the juice out with a special citrus juicer.
Step 2
Put the following ingredients in a glass jar or bottle: squeezed lemon juice and its zest, as well as edible alcohol. Close the dishes tightly. Put this mixture in a dark, cool place for one month, that is, for 30 days. So the future liquor will be infused.
Step 3
When the month has passed, pass the lemon liquid from a glass bottle through a cotton cloth or gauze folded in several layers. This way you will filter it out.
Step 4
Place granulated sugar and water in a saucepan. Place the mixture on the stove and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved. As soon as this happens, cool the resulting syrup. Then inject the filtered liquid into it. Mix everything as it should. Thus, the color of the formed mass will become opal.
Step 5
Pour the opal liquid into a glass container and leave it for another 20-30 days, no less. Lemon liqueur "Limoncello" is ready! Serve this drink after chilling it in the freezer.
