There are a lot of recipes for cooking tuna in the oven. Each housewife is able to add a zest, thanks to which the dish will become even tastier. Tuna meat is high in protein. It is rich in phosphorus, vitamins and amino acids. It is beneficial for the skin and mucous membranes, the nervous and digestive systems. Tuna is one of the few fish that do not lose their beneficial properties during canning.

- For the recipe:
- puff pastry (200 g);
- tomatoes (6 pcs.);
- cheese (50 g).
- For the sauce:
- butter (50 g);
- onion (1 pc.);
- flour (2 tablespoons);
- milk (2 tbsp.);
- salt;
- ground black pepper;
- mustard (1/2 tsp);
- cheese (180 g);
- tuna (400 g).
Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the sauce. Put the skillet on fire. Put in the butter.
Step 2
Take onions, peel and rinse them.
Step 3
Place the onion in a skillet and fry for five minutes until golden brown.
Step 4
Take some flour and add to the passivated onion. Keep on fire for another two minutes.
Step 5
Remove skillet from heat and add milk.
Step 6
Season with salt, pepper and put on fire again.
Step 7
Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce starts to sit on the spoon.
Step 8
Add mustard, cheese and tuna and simmer for 2 more minutes.
Step 9
Rinse the tomatoes and pat dry.
Step 10
Cut the tomatoes into small slices.

Then grate the cheese on a medium grater.

Oil a medium-sized ovenproof dish.
Step 13
Place a layer of tuna sauce on the bottom of the dish, then a layer of puff pastry, again a layer of tuna and a layer of tomatoes. Continue in this order, finishing with a layer of tuna sauce. Leave some tomatoes for the top.

Sprinkle finely grated cheese on top, garnish with the remaining tomatoes and cover with foil.

Bake for 15-20 minutes at a temperature of 220 C, then, after removing the foil, keep in the oven for another 15-20 minutes until a golden brown crust forms.

After the specified time has elapsed, remove the dish from the oven and place the cooked fish on plates.
