Barurik is a traditional sweet pastry of Armenian cuisine. You do not have to spend a lot of time and effort to prepare this dessert, in addition, the costs will not be great.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - flour - 1 glass;
- - butter - 60 g;
- - egg - 1 pc.;
- - soda - 0.5 teaspoon;
- - salt - a pinch.
- For filling:
- - chopped walnuts - 0.25 cups;
- - sugar - 0.25 cups;
- - cinnamon - a pinch;
- - butter - 40 g.
Instructions
Step 1
Mix the wheat flour passed through a sieve with the following ingredients: baking soda, raw chicken egg, melted butter and salt. Stir everything until you get a homogeneous dough. If it turns out to be too steep, then add one or two tablespoons of milk or water to it. Set the dough aside for about one quarter of an hour.
Step 2
While the dough is resting, prepare the filling for the barurik. To do this, simply mix the following ingredients in one bowl: chopped walnuts, ground cinnamon and granulated sugar.
Step 3
After 15 minutes have passed, put the dough on a flat work surface and roll it out in such a way that you end up with a fairly thin layer. After smearing its surface with melted butter, place the resulting filling of walnuts and granulated sugar on it so that it lies in an even layer.
Step 4
Gently roll the dough with the filling laid out on it, like a roll, then twist it in a spiral. In this form, place on a baking sheet with parchment and bake at 170 degrees until fully cooked, that is, for 20-25 minutes.
Step 5
Cool the finished dessert, then cut into pieces. Barurik is ready! Garnish the treat with powdered sugar before serving.
