It is necessary

    • pan;
    • seeds;
    • salt to taste;
    • 100 ml of water.

Instructions

Step 1

Before frying the seeds, rinse them well under running cold water. This must be done in order to remove dust and pigment coloring from the surface.

Step 2

Take the skillet in which you will fry the seeds and heat it up. It is advisable to use a cast iron frying pan for this, but if you do not have one, take the one that is in your kitchen arsenal. Fry the seeds over a controlled heat - during this process, in order to get a tasty product, the frying temperature will need to be changed.

Step 3

Pour the seeds into a well-heated skillet without reducing the strength of the fire. Remember that you will need to mix the seeds, so do not put all the seeds on the pan at once, do it gradually - this will make this process easier for you. In the process of warming up the seeds, periodically stir your future treat and remove from it the spoiled seeds, open seed kernels or remnants of sunflower flowers that can sometimes be present in raw seeds. It is better to use a wooden spoon to mix the seeds.

Step 4

Season with salt to taste and then gently pour it into the pan with the seeds to steam, acquire a salty taste and swell a little - these seeds will be easier to chew later. As soon as the liquid evaporates and the seeds begin to click characteristically, it means that the process of frying them has begun - reduce the heat and start stirring the seeds more often so that they do not burn.

Step 5

To determine the readiness of the seeds, take a few pieces out of the pan, peel them and look at the color of their seeds - well-fried seeds have a cream grain shade. Of course, you need to taste them too. If the seeds are well-nibbled, have a pleasant salty taste and a creamy grain color, then the process of frying them is complete!
