Step 1
A very popular technique is to "dress" the bottle in a stylized New Year's costume of Santa Claus or Snow Maiden. In order to make such an outfit, basic sewing skills are enough. Find the right fabric - red or blue brocade, taffeta or velvet. Cut a rectangle out of the fabric, sew it along the side seam, pull the elastic into the top hem along the width of the neck of the bottle. The costume is ready. Use faux white fur or fine tinsel for finishing. Sew the trim to the bottom of the outfit. For greater effect, the fabric can be embroidered with a gold cord, sequins, or decorated with rhinestones. From the remnants of the fabric, you can sew a small hat with a fur trim and put it on the neck of the bottle.
Step 2
You can decorate champagne using decoupage technique. Remove the labels from the bottle, wipe it thoroughly. Cover the glass with acrylic primer, dry, apply a layer of background paint. Pick up napkins with a New Year's pattern. Cut out the motif you like, carefully remove the top decorative layer of the napkin and glue it with a special glue for decoupage. After completing the entire bottle, cover it with varnish and dry it.
Step 3
If you are proficient in drawing, you can paint your bottle. Free it from labels and apply acrylic primer. Prepare your paints and brushes and start painting. You can copy the motive of a painting or postcard, or create an abstract painting masterpiece. Be bolder and feel free to use bright colors. Dry the finished bottle, cover with varnish. You can even sign your creation - now it is a real artifact and a wonderful gift for friends.
Step 4
Don't know how to sew, don't paint and are afraid that you won't be able to cope with napkins? Do it even easier. Remove the champagne labels and spray the entire bottle, including the foil, with gold or silver spray can. You can combine two types of spray - glossy and matte. Dry. Now glue ready-made gold or silver twigs, leaves, berries to the surface. It is important that all this is in one color - silver or gold. For greater elegance, attach rhinestones or small transparent stones with the same glue. Precious bottles will greatly decorate the festive table, replacing traditional New Year's compositions.
