Aloe vera is a plant whose medicinal properties are widely used to create industrial and home cosmetics, medicines, and all kinds of infusions. But at the same time, few people know that the plant is suitable not only for external, but also for internal use. Based on aloe, you can prepare several healthy dishes that promote health.

Useful properties of aloe

Traditionally, the pulp of aloe is used internally in the form of honey infusions or juice strongly diluted with water.

However, in a number of European countries, aloe is used to make soft ice cream, a refreshing addition to fruit desserts, and fortified cream.

Internal use of aloe has a number of contraindications, including acute inflammation, internal bleeding, pregnancy, kidney disease, gallbladder and cardiovascular disease.

The feasibility and dosage of the use of aloe inside must be agreed with the doctor.

In order for the healing properties of this plant to manifest as much as possible, it is important to follow a number of simple rules for preparing aloe for use: only the lower, most juicy leaves are cut off.

After cutting, the leaves are wrapped in a napkin and put in the refrigerator for several days. The juice is extracted from the pulp of the leaves, carefully separating it from the skin with a sharp knife.

Aloe juice tonic drink

To raise the tone, strengthen the body after a protracted illness or serious physical exertion, prepare a drink with the addition of freshly squeezed aloe juice.

To do this, the leaves are cut into small transverse plates, manually through 2 layers of gauze or using a juicer squeeze the juice.

Rub the zest of one lemon on a fine grater, use a mortar and pestle to grind the kernels of 7-8 walnuts and mix these ingredients with aloe juice.

To neutralize the bitter taste, the drink can be sweetened with 1-2 teaspoons of natural honey. Take a mixture of 3 tbsp. daily, in the morning and in the evening, with a course of no more than 14 days.

Aloe juice has a mild laxative effect, which manifests itself 8-10 hours after ingestion, therefore it can be used for additional regulation of intestinal activity and purification of the body.

Vitamin salad with aloe pulp

For the salad, you will need 2 grated fresh carrots, 1 diced apple and the pulp of 5-6 leaves of a tree-like aloe.

It is best to cut the leaves and separate the pulp from the skin directly above the container with carrots and apples - this way, not a single drop of the juice of the medicinal plant is lost.

The aloe pulp is thoroughly mixed with an apple and carrot, sprinkled with chopped walnuts and poured with a dressing consisting of honey mixed with lemon juice.

In the summer, a few fresh plantain and nettle leaves are added to the salad.
