The first mention of a pressure cooker dates back to the middle of the 15th century. studies of three great scientists: French physician Denis Papin, physicist Edma Mariotte and Anglo-Irish physicist Robert Boyle. However, the pressure cookers got into the kitchen only after the Second World War, when they began to use stainless steel for the production of dishes.
It is necessary
- Pressure cooker
- Meat
- Potato
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, the food that takes longer to cook is put into the pressure cooker. This can be meat, legumes, or hard vegetables. If the recipe specifies pre-frying the meat, then it must first be fried, and then put directly into the pressure cooker.
Step 2
When the first ingredients are placed in the pressure cooker, the pan is placed on the stove, the heat is added and the whistle must be waited. A whistle indicates that there is sufficient pressure inside the pressure cooker to cook food quickly. From this moment you can turn down the heat and count down the cooking minutes. If steam or liquid seeps out of the valve, it's okay.
Step 3
When the meat is half done, we need to add the peeled and pre-cut potatoes to the pressure cooker. To do this, in the pressure cooker, you need to reduce the pressure and temperature, as if we were finishing the preparation of a dish. It is necessary to release the pressure by gently lifting the valve on the cover. Without this, the cover cannot be removed. When the steam stops coming out, put the pan under cold water for a few seconds. After that, you can remove the lid and add the following ingredients to the cooking dish, in this case potatoes.
Step 4
Then you need to close the pan again, bring the temperature under it to the maximum, at which the desired pressure will be reached, and continue cooking until cooked.
