With just a little effort and money, you can make a pretty spice rack.
It is necessary
- 1. Beam 1 * 5 cm, 2 m long
- 2. Chipboard sheet 46 * 25 cm (shelf base)
- 3. Chipboard sheet 46 * 5 cm (bottom of the shelf)
- 4. Adhesive carpentry Moment
- 5. Wooden ruler 40 cm and 20 cm
- 6. Self-tapping screws -10 pcs.
- 7. Hacksaw for wood
Instructions
Step 1
Calculate the length of the side shelf. Measure the diameter of the jar lids - it turns out 5 cm. Since there will be 3 small spice jars on 2 side shelves, then the length of 1 shelf is 5 * 3 = 15 cm.
Step 2
Calculate the length of the middle shelf. Measure the diameter of the jar lids - this is 6 cm. Since there will be 2 large spice jars on the middle shelf, then the shelf length is 2 * 6 = 12 cm.
Step 3
Calculate the total length of the shelf. To do this, add the length of 2 side and 1 middle shelves and the increase in the width of the partitions (4 pcs. * 1 cm = 4 cm): 15 * 2 + 12 + 4 = 46 cm.
Step 4
Saw the bar along the length of the shelves: 2 pieces of 15 cm, 1 piece 12 cm long. To do this, mark the perpendicular lines on the bar at an angle of 90 degrees with a square.
Step 5
Saw a bar with a hacksaw on wood into 4 side partitions 25 cm each. To do this, mark a diagonal with a square at an angle of 45 degrees on one side - this will be the top of the partition and at an angle of 90 degrees - on the other side and cut out.
Step 6
Calculate the length of the side strips-holders (2 at the top and 2 at the bottom): 15 cm + an increase in the width of the partitions (2 pcs. * 1 cm = 2 cm) = 17 cm; and the length of the medium: 12 + an increase in the width of the partitions (2pcs. * 1cm = 2 cm) = 14 cm.
Saw out the strips-holders from a ruler 50 cm long: first saw off 17 * 2 = 34 cm, and then across (to get 17 cm) and in half lengthwise - you will get side strips; Saw out the middle planks from the remaining ruler: saw off 14 cm (34 + 14 = 48 cm), and then in half lengthwise.
Step 7
Assemble the shelf:
a) Take a sheet of chipboard 50 * 25 cm and glue the partitions with wood glue.
b) Glue the shelves between the partitions at a distance of 7 cm from the top (the height of the small spice jars) and leave to dry overnight.
Step 8
Screw the bottom of the shelf with self-tapping screws to the side partitions.
Step 9
Screw the lugs to the upper edges of the shelf on the right and left with self-tapping screws and hang on the wall.
