Herring under a fur coat is a salad, without which practically no celebration takes place, so it is very important to be able to decorate this dish beautifully and in an original way in order to give the table a festive look.
There are many options for decorating this salad, for example, you can put the salad itself in a shallow round or oval salad bowl and decorate the dish in the form of a fish.
For decoration, you will need onions, a boiled egg and black peppercorns. The first step is to peel and cut the onion into half rings and place them on the salad in the form of scales, leaving 1/3 of the salad intact. Cut six elongated triangles from carrots and place them on a dish in the form of fins and a tail, and form lips from two semicircular blanks.
Cut off a thin round plate from a boiled egg (you need to cut it carefully so that the yolk does not crumble), put it in the middle of the head. It turned out to be a blank of the eye. Now you need to put one pea of pepper in the middle of the "eye" of the fish and press it. Lay out eyelashes from the rest of the peas. The salad is decorated.
An easier way to decorate a salad is to put strips of grated vegetables and eggs on its surface. You just need to boil vegetables (carrots, beets) and eggs, and separately grate each product into a separate bowl. Finely chop the onion feathers.
Carefully arrange the vegetables in order on the salad: beet strip, carrot strip, egg yolk strip, green onion strip, egg white strip, etc.
A rather interesting way to decorate a herring salad under a fur coat is to put a flower on its surface. To decorate a flower, you only need an egg and a couple of lettuce leaves (dill or parsley). It is necessary to boil the egg, carefully separate the white from the yolk, cut the white into strips, and finely chop the yolk. Put a circle on the surface of the yolk salad, then put the chopped proteins around this circle (they must be laid in the form of petals). Put green leaves on the sides of the resulting chamomile.
