Many housewives make preparations for the winter in the form of salads, and this is not surprising, because such dishes always help out during the period when purchased delicacies "become boring". And in order for the pickles to be stored for a long time, they are preliminarily sterilized correctly.
It is necessary
- - cans of salads;
- - water;
- - towel;
- - pan;
- - oven;
- - microwave.
Instructions
Step 1
You can sterilize the jars in a pot of hot water. To do this, you need to fill jars of the same volume with salads, put a towel on the bottom of the pan (or any cotton cloth folded in several layers, the fact is, if you skip this point, then glass jars will burst when boiling), and jars on it. Cover the blanks on top with sterilized lids, then fill the pan with water a couple of centimeters below the necks of the cans (if the salads are cold, then you need to fill it with cold water, if hot, then hot). An important point - when stacking, the cans should not touch the sides of the pan.
After the work done, the pan must be put on fire, after boiling the water, start the sterilization countdown. Salads in small jars (from 0.5 l to 1 l) need to be boiled for no more than 15 minutes (it is better not to use large jars, because it is more difficult to work with them, and they have to be processed much longer).
It is worth noting that when sterilizing fried salads, about 200 grams of salt must be added to the water in which the jars are standing, this will slightly increase the boiling point of the water.
Step 2
You can also sterilize salad jars in the oven. To do this, it is enough to cover the workpieces with sterilized lids, place them in the oven and turn on the device, adjusting the temperature to 100-110 degrees. Banks up to 1 liter should be kept in the oven for no more than 10 minutes, but the time should be counted from the moment the appliance is fully heated (on average, this happens in 7-10 minutes, but some modern ovens heat up much faster than the specified time, it is better to navigate indicator lamp).
After the time has elapsed, the workpieces must be carefully removed using special kitchen mittens and rolled up with lids.
Step 3
You can also sterilize workpieces in a microwave oven, the only thing you need to pay attention to is that you cannot put lids in the device along with the jars (it is better to boil them separately). So, the cans of salads must be placed in the oven and the "microwave" must be turned on at full power, as soon as the contents of the cans boil, the power must be reduced to a minimum. After 2-3 minutes, the workpieces can be taken out and rolled up with lids.
After "spinning" pickles, marinades, etc., you need to turn upside down, wrap and leave until they cool completely, such manipulations will have a positive effect on the safety of products in the future.
