Many have tried tea bags. They are very convenient to use on the road, at work, in the morning, when there is no time to make tea in a teapot.
Buying tea in bags, most people see only benefit: put it in a cup, pour it in boiling water - a couple of minutes and a strong aromatic drink is ready. The assortment on offer is quite diverse - black tea, green, fruit, lemon, etc. And what if the real benefits of drinking tea bags? Natural tea, packaged in bags, is quite expensive, there is no benefit from it, but it may not be harmful either. The situation with cheaper teas is much more critical.
Flavors
The strength and bright rich taste give the drink, oddly enough, flavors and colorants. The obvious question is: why is tea flavoring? And it is needed in order to hide the unpleasant smell of tea waste used for tea bags. Unscrupulous manufacturers add poplar leaves, oak leaves, various herbs or expired tea leaves to the bags.
Dried Fruit Pieces
There are fruits, of course, but only in elite and expensive teas. In the rest, fruit production wastes are added. Dried fruits added to tea dust perfectly mask its unpleasant taste, and the price of tea rises significantly.
Dyes and preservatives
Be sure to take into account the presence of dyes and preservatives in tea bags. These components are extremely harmful: with frequent use of such tea, an allergic reaction and even food poisoning can occur.
Fluoride in tea bags
Various fluorine compounds are often found in tea bags. Long-term use (over several years) of such tea will lead to problems with bone tissue, tooth enamel, and the likelihood of developing kidney whites and muscle weakness also increases.
Tea in bulk, of course, is less harmful, but the choice still remains with the buyer.
