It is necessary

  • - corn starch - 2 cups;
  • - sugar - 2 glasses;
  • - ground cinnamon - 1 tsp;
  • - citric acid - 2 tsp;
  • - vanillin on the tip of a knife;
  • - instant gelatin - 100 g;
  • - water - 3 glasses;
  • - icing sugar for crumbling;
  • - sesame seeds for sprinkling.

Instructions

Step 1

It is necessary to cook dessert in a thick-walled saucepan (ideally in a cauldron) so that the mixture does not burn. Pour starch, sugar and a pinch of vanillin into it.

Step 2

Add cinnamon (it will add color) and 2 sachets (100 g) of instant gelatin. Stir all dry ingredients well with a spatula.

Step 3

Pour water into the dry mixture and mix again. Place the saucepan over medium heat (be careful not to simmer) and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon, until the mixture is thick.

Step 4

When the mixture becomes doughy, remove it from the burner, add citric acid and stir vigorously.

Step 5

Put the mass in a mold lined with cling film, tamp it carefully and leave in the cold overnight.

Step 6

In the morning, remove the Turkish delight from the mold and cut into cubes. Dip each cube in powdered sugar and sesame seeds if desired (you can also use flakes of coconut).

Step 7

Store Turkish Delight in a dry place in a sealed box sprinkled with starch to prevent the cubes from sticking together. Just shake off any starch and roll each cube in powdered sugar before serving!
