Delicious Turkish delight with nuts can be prepared at home. To do this, you will need:

-225 g of potato starch;

- 1, 2 liters of water;

- 1 kg of sugar;

- 0.5 tsp citric acid;

- crushed walnuts;

- icing sugar;

- coconut flakes.

Pour the water into a small heavy-bottomed saucepan, add half of the starch, citric acid, walnuts and sugar, and stir the mixture thoroughly. Put the container on low heat, bring its contents to a boil, stirring constantly with a wooden spatula.

After that, reduce heat and simmer, continuing to stir Turkish delight. Be careful when boiling the mixture as it is very hot and may splash. Gradually, the mass will begin to separate from the walls - this will indicate that the treat is almost ready. You can verify this by pouring ice water into a glass and dripping a little mixture into it. When the sweet drop is at the bottom, you will need to take it out and knead it with your fingers. The finished sweetness will be soft like plasticine.

Lay a thin cloth (35-40 cm in size) on the bottom of a rectangular shape 25-30 cm in size and pour the remaining half of the starch onto it. Pour the contents of the pot into this mold and let cool. Take out the cooled Turkish delight and peel it of starch, then put it on a flat dish, sprinkle with powdered sugar and coconut.
