The "New Year's cracker" salad will become a real decoration of your table for the New Year. This salad is delicious and easy to make.
You will need:
- chicken fillet 300 g
- boiled potatoes 3 pcs.
- beets 1 pc.
- eggs 3 pcs.
- onion 2 pcs.
- walnuts 100 g
- mayonnaise
- vinegar 2 tbsp l
- sugar 1 tbsp. l.
- salt, peppercorns, bay leaf
For salad dressing: pomegranate seeds, olives, carrots.
Preparation:
Wash the potatoes, peel, boil. When it cools down, grate on a coarse grater.
Boil chicken fillet and cut into cubes, grate on a coarse grater.
Pickle the onions in advance. The onion must be finely chopped. Let's prepare the marinade. To do this, in a small bowl, dilute vinegar with water, add salt, sugar, black peppercorns, bay leaf. Dip the onion into the marinade and leave for 30-40 minutes.
The eggs must be boiled. We take a fine grater and rub the boiled eggs.
Boil the beets, cool and rub on a fine grater. Grind peeled walnuts in a blender
Spread cling film on a flat surface. We spread it in layers and tamp each layer well with a spoon.
1st layer - potatoes, 2nd layer - mayonnaise, 3rd layer - chicken fillet, 4th layer - mayonnaise, 5th layer - pickled onions, 6th layer - eggs, 7th layer - mayonnaise, 8th layer - beets and the last layer - mayonnaise. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts on top and brush again with mayonnaise.
Using cling film, roll up the roll and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Remove from the refrigerator and remove the cling film from the roll.
It remains to decorate the roll. You can decorate with olives, pomegranate seeds, make stars from carrots.
