Instructions

Step 1

When coming up with decorations, do not forget that the decor should not conflict with the taste of the dish. It is best if the ingredients that make up it serve as decoration. For example, a fish salad can be decorated with caviar (natural or artificial). Flatten the surface of the lettuce and cover it with red caviar. In the middle of the black caviar lay out any inscription - from the classic "Life is good!" to the banal "Happy New Year!"

Step 2

Children will be very pleased with sandwiches made in the shape of stars or Christmas trees. Use cookie cutters to cut out white and black bread. On top of them you can spread butter and caviar, pate, or lay cold meat, smoked sausage, and delicious fish cut with the same molds.

Step 3

Jellied looks very decorative. Pour a small amount of clear broth with gelatin over the meat, fish or boiled tongue and let it set. Cut the cucumber Christmas trees, boiled carrot stars, add capers, olive rings, chopped eggs, dill sprigs, put it all on top of the meat and cover with the rest of the broth.

Step 4

Whole baked poultry, fish or suckling pig will decorate the New Year's table. They can be decorated too. Put white paper rosettes on the bird's paws, lay out a multi-colored garnish next to the carcass - lingonberries, herbs, pickled mushrooms, carrots, rice boiled with saffron, figuratively chopped oranges and limes. When serving, stick a sparkler into the carcass and light it.

Step 5

Don't forget about desserts. A large birthday cake can be shaped like a clock. Cover the finished cake with marzipan, and wrap it with ready-made sugar mastic on top. This will create a perfectly smooth surface. Using a knitting needle or knife, mark the clock face with numbers and hands on the surface of the cake. Lay out the numbers with glittering sugar beads, and carefully draw the arrows with melted chocolate.

Step 6

Another decoration option is chocolate Christmas trees. Melt black or milk chocolate in a water bath, put them on a plate or parchment in the form of large and small blots. Let them cool and assemble the trees by gluing the layers with melted chocolate. Sprinkle the trees with powdered sugar on top. Sculpt snowmen and bunnies out of colored marzipan and arrange the figures on a tray, decorating a New Year's scene.

Step 7

A very festive dessert is hot ice cream. Freeze the sundae. Cut a ring out of the finished biscuit, put pieces of ice cream on it, cover with another biscuit ring. Whisk the egg whites and sugar into a strong foam, cover the whole dessert and place in the preheated oven until the whites are browned. Take out the dessert, transfer it to a dish, place a burning thick candle in the center. Serve and eat immediately.
