The New Year's feast has a lot of gastronomic traditions: champagne, Olivier, jellied fish and, of course, crab stick salad. Over the decades, these dishes have become boring, have become familiar and have practically become routine. At least, they no longer cause a distinct feeling of the holiday. You can find some exotic recipe that will definitely delight you with its novelty; but not everyone can afford such a luxury. Those who want to cook an original dish and not spend too much money on food will be helped out by a puff salad with crab meat and cheese. And it looks impressive.

It is necessary

  • - 5 eggs;
  • - 200 g of crab sticks;
  • - 1 small onion;
  • - 1 large red apple;
  • - 150-200 g of cheese;
  • - a quarter of a pack of butter;
  • - mayonnaise.

Instructions

Step 1

Boil the eggs hard-boiled, peel and separate the white from the yolk. Cut the whites into small pieces and put them in a separate container. Divide the yolks into two equal parts: grind the first with mayonnaise until a thick sauce, and mash the second into fine dust. Put both "blanks" in separate containers: they will be required at the very end.

Then you need to cut the rest of the products: crab meat - into thin shavings; onions - in small cubes, no more than 2-3 mm; grate the apple; and the cheese should be fine or medium in size (you should get thin, long fibers).

Step 3

Now you can start creating a New Year's masterpiece. The salad will need to be spread out on a flat dish and shaped into a pie. To start, stir in the egg whites, onions, salt and mayonnaise. Lay them out in the first layer.

Step 4

The second layer is crab meat. Mix it with a little mayonnaise so that the pieces hold their shape, and cover with this mass of egg white and onion.

Next comes the apple's turn. It is better to rub it directly on the dish so as not to waste time leveling the layer. Pour in 3-4 mm apple "shavings" and crush them a little so that the pieces of fruit do not puff up. And top with mayonnaise.

Cover everything with thin layers of butter on top. Be careful: there should not be a lot of it, otherwise the treat will be too greasy. For convenience, you can put the oil in the freezer for a couple of hours, then just rub it over the salad.

The next step is cheese. Rub it on a fine grater and place it on the "cake". The thickness of this layer should be 2-3 mm. Top with mayonnaise.

Sprinkle everything with grated yolk, coat the top and sides of the "cake" with mayonnaise and sprinkle with fine cheese shavings. Exclusive New Year's salad is ready.
