More recently, few people have heard that there is such a tea as pu-erh tea. It appeared on the territory of Russia only a few years ago. Until the early 90s, almost nothing was known about this tea outside of China, and only twenty years ago it began to gradually be exported to other countries.

Instructions

Step 1

Puerh is grown only in the southern part of China, in the Yunnan province. The peculiarity of this mountainous area is high humidity and warm climate. In dense forests, wild tea trees are often found, from the leaves of which pu-erh tea is made. The older the tree, the juicier its leaves, and the more aromatic and high-quality tea. And there are many such trees in Yunnan province. Pu-erh has a special production technology - the harvested leaves are processed and then subjected to a fermentation process - aging. After that, the dried leaves are rolled and then pressed. Pu-erh is sold in the form of a pressed flat cake, square, brick.

Step 2

Pu-erh is unique in that its quality improves with age. The older the tea, the more pleasant and softer its taste becomes. Depending on the method of production, three types of pu-erh are distinguished - young sheng pu-erh, aged sheng pu-erh and shu pu-erh.

Step 3

How to brew pu-erh tea? The method of preparation is quite simple - it, like other teas, is poured with boiling water in a teapot. Pu-erh is brewed as follows.

Before you start brewing the tea, you need to rinse it. A piece is broken off from the pressed cake and pre-washed with hot water. To do this, put it in a kettle and pour boiling water for 10 seconds. This will get rid of the dust and soak the tea with water. This water must be drained and only after that the pu-erh is brewed.

Step 4

For brewing, about three minutes is enough, but still this is a matter of taste and therefore, everyone needs to determine how hard to brew the pu-erh. If the tea is very strong, you need to subsequently reduce the brewing time, if it is weak, on the contrary, increase it. It is undesirable to steam pu-erh for more than three minutes - it will infuse and the taste will become bitter.

Step 5

3. After brewing, do not throw away the tea, but pour it over again with water. You can brew pu-erh tea up to four times and use about four grams of tea per 100 milliliters of water.

Step 6

In order to brew pu-erh correctly, it is necessary to adhere to the water temperature, because it is different for each type of pu-erh. For young sheng pu-erh, 80 degrees is enough, for aged sheng pu-erh - 85-100, and shu pu-erh should be poured only with boiling water. Milk or honey can be added to the tea if desired.

Step 7

If pu-erh is brewed correctly, it invigorates, has a positive effect on the digestive system, stabilizes metabolism and removes harmful substances and toxins from the body.
