One of the most famous cakes in Russia is "Charodeyka", a sponge cake with custard. It is prepared quite simply, and it looks very impressive on the festive table.

- Vegetable oil
- Custard:
- Milk 1 measuring cup
- Sugar 0.5 measuring cups
- Eggs 3 pcs.
- Butter 100 g
- Flour 2, 5 tbsp. spoons
- Glaze:
- Milk 4-5 tbsp. spoons
- Butter 30-40 g
- Sugar 0.5 cups
- Cocoa 1 tsp
Instructions
Step 1
First, make a biscuit dough. Separate the yolks from the whites. Beat the whites separately into a thick foam. We begin to beat at low speeds, which we gradually increase.
Step 2
Mix the yolks with sugar and also beat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Mix the yolks with the whites.
Step 3
Sift flour, add baking powder. Gradually pour the egg mixture into the flour and knead the dough.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Step 5
Grease the dough mold with refined vegetable oil.
Put the dough in a mold and bake for 25 minutes. As soon as the biscuit rises, reduce the heat so that it does not burn.
Step 6
When the biscuit is ready, turn off the heat and leave it in the oven for 4-5 hours. It needs to cool down.
Step 7
Heat the milk a little. Beat the egg at a slow speed. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, and an egg to the milk. Add flour carefully. Cook over low heat. In the process of cooking, beat it all the time with a mixer at low speed.
Step 8
When the cream thickens, put the pan in a container of cold water, add softened butter and whisk, but at high speed.
Step 9
Cut the cake in half, put some of the cream on one half and cover with the other half of the cake. Grease the top of the cake with the remaining cream.
Step 10
Cooking the icing.
Melt the butter in a saucepan, add milk, sugar and cocoa powder. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar melts.

Cool slightly, pour the cake on top.
